Step-3
The program is made up of three “ROOMS”:
Waiting Room – Just like it sounds: you wait here until the Mediator starts the session. No one can see you or hear you and you cannot see or hear any other participant.
Main Room – For mediation purposes, the main room is an INTRODUCTION ROOM. The Mediator opens the meeting, participants are automatically entered into the Main Room and introduced by the Mediator. The Mediator provides overall instructions for the mediation as well as helpful information regarding the ZOOM platform. This is a non-confidential space. From this space, participants will each go to a Breakout Room where they will spend the bulk of the mediation.
Breakout Room – Your private caucus room where you and your client will be for most of the session. The Mediator may enter this room but no other participant may enter without your consent. Privacy and confidentiality are assured.
Step-4
Mute Room – You can still hear, but no one can hear you.
Stop Video – This will stop only YOUR video portion of the mediation. No one else will be able to SEE you. Your audio will still be ON, and members can Still Hear You.
Raise Your Hand – Just as in face-to-face meetings, the mediator will see your “raised hand” and recognize you to speak. The Raise Your Hand Button is located under MORE in the navigation at the top of the window.
Chat – The Chat feature allows for instant messaging directly between you and another participant or the Mediator in the same room as you (Main or Break Out) Be mindful that there are both PRIVATE and PUBLIC chat capabilities.
Help – When the Mediator is working with other parties, press the help button to alert the Mediator you need assistance or attention; she will enter your room as soon as possible.
